- Only official flavors of Ubuntu are supported here. “Based on” Ubuntu is not close enough, sorry.
- Your question should clearly state which standard-supported version of Ubuntu you are using and which official flavor.
- Specify the version using proper
yy.mmversioning, wheremmshould be either04or10as we release in April and October. Just using theyy(i.e. 24 or 22) is imprecise. - While Ubuntu Desktop and Ubuntu Server LTS are supported for 5 years, flavor LTS releases are only supported for 3 years. (Example: Xubuntu 20.04 support ended in 2023).
- It is always a good idea to check the Release Notes for your version to see if there are any known issues, which may come with mitigation instructions.
