Welcome to the Ubuntu Discourse!
As a newcomer to the community, we want to help you get acquainted with this site and the rules that we all follow to ensure it’s a friendly and enjoyable place to be.
If you aren’t signed up yet:
Just click the little “Sign Up” button on the top navigation bar.
This will guide you through creating an Ubuntu One account that allows you to access the Discourse and a host of other platforms within the Ubuntu ecosystem.
If you’re already singed up and logged in:
For safety reasons, we temporarily limit what new users can do. This helps us prevent spam and malicious actors from disrupting the communications that occur here. In order to fully participate here on the Discourse, all you need to do is view the following topics:
- Ubuntu Code of Conduct - All community members must follow the Ubuntu Code of Conduct. It’s a simple set of rules and principles that we abide by to ensure our community remains a respectful and productive place to be.
- Ubuntu Governance - The Ubuntu project is governed by community leaders who have been elected to various councils, boards and teams. Learning how these groups function and interact is important to understanding the makeup of the Ubuntu community.
- Support Quick Start - If you came to the Ubuntu Discourse looking for technical support, please check out our support FAQ which serves as a guide to where and how questions should be asked.
- Community Documentation - Beyond conversation, we also use our Discourse as a community documentation resource. We’re always looking for volunteers to share their knowledge and improve our community resources.
- Introductions - Once you’ve taken some time to explore the Ubuntu Discourse, we welcome you to introduce yourself and let us know a bit about you and what brought you here!
That’s it! If you followed the 5 links above, you should have received another message letting you know that you are able to post new topics on the Discourse.
~ Welcome to the Ubuntu Community! We’re glad you’re here!
