Lots of bug triage and user support in Launchpad and upstreams. Backlog stats are here.
Proposed a plymouth update to resolve the annoying boot messages interfering with the splash screen.
The initramfs-tools proposal to reduce the size of early boot graphics drivers was merged.
More initramfs code reviews.
Reviewed dash-to-dock GNOME 46 support again and merged it. There is still one visual bug but I’d rather track that than linger with a master branch which doesn’t support GNOME 46 at all.
Reviewed another dash-to-dock proposal.
Proposed a fix for dock startup warnings.
Proposed restoring the lost smooth login animation in ubuntu-dock/dash-to-dock. It wasn’t ever removed, it just stopped working some time around GNOME 45. Nobody noticed because the stuttery alternative we have looks similar but with degraded performance.
Proposed a VAAPI patch requested by Collabora.
Some minor git surgery to reflect what Plymouth versions actually made it to the archive.
The annoying messages during boot issue finally has the first of multiple fixes being released to Noble (note it also needs the new kernel that’s in proposed). It took a little longer than expected as we cleaned up some related initramfs infrastructure. Thanks to Benjamin Drung for his help.
