I use Ubuntu on one of my home laptops, but not in my role. Of course Dell Technologies and Canonical are close and we are looking to develop an even closer relationship in the Middle East.

Hello everyone!
I am Maazin, a candidate for a junior cloud engineer role with Canonical. I am an AWS cloud engineer, and I am also learning towards cloud devops. I have practical experience with bash scripting, Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes, and EKS, ECR, ECS.
I love using Linux to automate tasks such cloud resources provisioning (I know, I use Terraform too), build and push of docker containers to the cloud registry and the container services, and scheduling cron jobs for backups and so on. Just to mention a few.
I also love to write how-to guides for to help guide beginners on their journeys. I currently have two guides on my github on MySQL (Server, Workbench, and Shell) installation and setup, and another guide on MongoDB (Compass, Atlas, and Nodejs) installation and setup. Check them out on my github.
I am excited to be here and looking forward to gaining deeper knowledge and insights into this wonderful distro.

Hello, My name is Ógè -pronounced ‘ohgay’. I’m a JJC aka ‘Johnny Just Come’ as we say in Nigeria to Ubuntu. I’m ìgbo and I love reading, movies, sleeping, football, table tennis and volleyball. I’m an applicant for a role in Digital Marketing for Canonical, Lagos Nigeria and the response mail I received from Greenhouse piqued my interest about this platform. So far, reading through the introductions and replies have been fascinating and I can’t wait to learn more about this community.

Hello Everyone!
I am a software developer using linux/ubuntu as my daily driver. I also used ubuntu in a HPC context at uni for simulating brain tumors. It was the OS which got out of my way and didn’t give me any headaches (pun intended). I also still hang out in the scicomp community:

I’d love to learn some more behind-the-scenes on the distro!
Cheers! Michael

I am new to Ubuntu Discourse and some what new to Linux. I have used a few different distors, such as Linux Mint, Linux lite, Parrot, etc. I hope to be able to learn and to help others.
Welcome and glad you are here.
A post was split to a new topic: Why is net-tools not included with the 25.04 install?
I have seen your name show up on the newsletter in the xscreensaver
Hi everyone — I’m Chris a leadership and development specialist with a background in educational leadership and military training, ex Royal Navy and British Army. I’m passionate about how distributed teams grow, learn, and lead, and I’m really intrigued by Canonical’s approach to talent and collaboration in open-source ecosystems. Looking forward to learning more and contributing where I can and I have an MA and currently reading for a PhD in authentic values-driven leadership

I have been using Ubuntu as my primary home OS since the 2008 release. In the early days, I built 64-bit Firefox from source until it became part of the Ubuntu distro.
