  • Packaged poppler 24.08, the poppler version that will be included in Ubuntu 24.10

  • Preparation for GNOME 47 Beta
    – Packaged mozjs128, the new annual version of Firefox ESR’s SpiderMonkey JavaScript engine, for the Debian and Ubuntu NEW queues
    – Packaged Evolution 3.53.2 (equivalent to GNOME 47 Beta) for Debian Unstable and Ubuntu 24.10
    – Uploaded GTK 4.14 to Debian Unstable
    – Began packaging GTK 4.15 and libadwaita 1.6 Beta
    – Uploaded gsettings-desktop-schemas 47 Beta which reverted the proposed default font switch from Cantarell to Inter. (This does not affect Ubuntu which uses the Ubuntu font by default)

  • Testing improvements
    – Improvements to the build test packaging for GNOME Shell & Mutter
    – Sponsored Nathan’s addition of a gnome-remote-desktop autopkgtest to attempt to catch when dependencies break gnome-remote-desktop
    – Sponsored Nathan’s improvement of the vte2.91 autopkgtest to test the GTK4 library also
    – Sponsored Alessandro’s fix of his https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/wsdd/2:0.8-2ubuntu3 autopkgtest to Ubuntu 24.10

  • Other work
    – Rebuilt several Rust packages since they are now buildable on s390x, needed for aardvark-dns to migrate out of oracular-proposed
    – Bootrapped php-deepcopy as needed to allow the latest php8.3 and other packages to migrate out of oracular-proposed
    – Packaged the latest version of GNOME Commander which switched from gtk2 to gtk3
    – Turned Debian’s gnome-shell-extension-system-monitor package into a transitional package at least for now since the official GNOME 47 extensions include a system monitor extension
