Hello, not new to Linux but new to Ubuntu. I enjoy using the Ubuntu system and grown an interest on becoming part of the community and eventually contribute to the project.
I am getting back into leaning data science again, learning game development and learning embedded engineering. For now learning is my hobby and in time, I would put them into good use.
I have been using DSS and its a good tool to use for data science!

Hi everyone. Not so much here to contribute to projects as to ask newbie questions - hope you all donโt mind! Iโve been considering using Linux as Iโve heard tales and legends of its configurability and figured that if I learned how to use it, it could help me manage my addiction to various internet addictions (video games, shorts, etc.) I also like the minimalist aesthetic I often see in Linux showcases.

Another person stepping into this Discourse. Iโm a fan of Lubuntu for the light-weight aesthetic. This computer is over ten years old, and itโs the third on which Iโve been running Lubuntu.

Hello!
My name is Brent and I basically switched off of Windows 11 when I read articles about Microsoftโs new feature called โRecallโ coming out. I switched to Linux in May of 2024 and I tried many distros and ended up loving KUbuntu the most so I stuck with it. I wanted to break away from all the privacy issue with Windows and enjoy a more secure system. Also ADs and AI is not pushed down my throat, and itโs a perk that Linux works well with gaming now a days Itโs been a fun learning process and I find it interesting to learn more on how Linux works. I have been in the IT field for 10 years now and currently I am a Tier 2 Computer Technician at a very large hospital in Indiana.
Glad to be part of the Ubuntu community!
