Hello,
This tutorial uses a laptop as an example, but laptop users are most likely to use the graphical Ubuntu Desktop and its NetworkManager network settings in GNOME. Can this guide be ported to graphical configuration steps using only the Ubuntu Desktop network settings and make them persistent this way?

Hi, that’s a good point, and I think it’s doable with the current graphical interface in noble, and perhaps in jammy. I’ll have to think a bit where to place it, since this is the server guide, but I think we can open up a section on setting up just clients. We talk about it a big in the “common tasks” page, where a smartphone client is setup, so networkmanager (the GUI) would just be another such case.
