What is the Ubuntu Desktop Team Indaba? Indaba is a South African term for “a conference or consultation between people”. This will be a live stream event, featuring members of the Ubuntu Desktop Team and members of the broader open source community. To get a feel for what to expect, you can review the previous months’ Indabas.
To keep up a consistent cadence of these Indabas, we’ve decided to have them the last Friday of the month, every month. The details are:

Let’s talk about the upcoming Linux App Summit (LAS)! This is a joint conference, hosted by both KDE and GNOME, so we will have the two main representing parties on to tell us all about LAS and other upcoming events in those communities. Aleix is the current president of KDE e.V. and has been involved in the KDE efforts for 15 years! In addition to his LAS contributions, he helps make sure Akademy runs smoothly. Kristi is the magic behind GNOME conferences and anyone attending GUADEC the last few years has likely noticed her huge positive impact, making the conference run seamlessly. So come see how their combined forces compliment each other to host an amazing Linux conference!
