ubuntu-image

  • Lots and lots of beta testing
  • Created a branch in the snap store: “beta/classic-image-redesign”
    • Set up a recipe in LP to automatically rebuild this whenever there are changes to the feature branch
  • Began breaking down 23.04 tasks
    • Discussions with cloud team about the secret sauce that makes cloud images
    • Downloading and playing around with cloud images

  • Reviewing openssh patch for @enr0n
  • SRU verification of flash-kernel chroot fix

subiquity

  • spec work and brainstorming on how to make Subiquity cleanly handle APT failures
  • updated and published autoinstall documentation on the wiki
  • spending more time reworking how Subiquity handles its event loop. Also affects system_setup and console_conf.

  • Prepared SRU for LP 1993478 “package openssh-server 1:9.0p1-1ubuntu7 failed to install/upgrade: postinstall script returned 1”
    • This bug is due to the socket migration logic not handling ListenAddress values from /etc/ssh/sshd_config that specify a port number
    • Attached a patch, which I tested against the test cases I listed in the SRU template
