GUADEC is the GNOME community’s annual conference, it brings together hundreds of contributors and users from all over the world. This year, GUADEC was held in Brescia, Italy, from July 24th to July 29th 2025.
Brescia is an absolutely stunning city, we were made aware of it right from the welcome event, the day before the event started, and confirmed it during our evening excursions around its alleys. What an amazing place, full of history, art and vibrant with life.

, GUADEC brought a lot of topics around Gnome, GTK, design, extensions and other related technologies. Contributors from all over the world of open source came together to work on the technology stack that powers so many of our desktops.
Hallway track
Ubuntu was a silver sponsor this year, and brought a lot of bright orange to the venue 
. Our booth, more active than ever had slideshow reels, flyers, feedback forms, and of course a lot of swag! Many people came to tell us their stories with Linux and Ubuntu, and it was incredibly inspiring to meet so many users of Ubuntu and its flavors.
