• Worked on making a gnome-weather snap.
• Released lightdm 1.32.0.
• Started implementing portal support in Dart (will be required for Flutter apps running in strict confinement).
• Working on Core Desktop.

• Chromium snap:
  • Preparing new upstream versions updates for edge, beta and stable channels.
  • Fix missing libva shared library files.
  • Remove vainfo; it reports it’s own Libva version instead of Chromium’s, which caused confusion.
• Implementing GUI and the corresponding token backend for Ubuntu Pro in
  gnome-initial-setup.

• Uploaded the 43 Alpha version of libadwaita to Debian Unstable and Ubuntu 22.10
• Uploaded gnome-characters 43 Alpha featuring the new Adwaita About Window and support for Emoji Sequences and Modifiers
• More SRU work intended for Ubuntu 22.04.1 LTS including the GNOME Shell 42.3 stack
• Updated my primary computer to Ubuntu 22.10
• Ready for the official start of DebConf in Kosovo tomorrow.

• Opened PR to fix some clang-tidy warnings

• Implemented a method to switch the Ubuntu WSL user to root, from Windows. Used the mutex to prevent multiple launchers from switching users at once.

• Defined and implemented an incremental patch system for WSL. Root access implementation was used for this.

• Changed release upgrader policy spec and implementation to use this incremental patch system.

• Updated some low-priority specs to use this new patch system.

Ubuntu-release-upgrader

• Made “do not attempt reboot in WSL” bugfix ready for SRU https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/jammy/+source/ubuntu-release-upgrader/+bug/1958668

• Caught up on hundreds of bugs after being on leave, and closed lots too since impish just reached end-of-life. Backlog stats are here.
• Fixed mutter CI warnings that are tainting other branches.
• Fixed a minor error handling bug in the Wayland deep colour branch (found on Xilinx).
• Trying to figure out how to verify an SRU to apport itself.
• Revised shutdown fix mutter!2074.
• Proposed a general workaround for gnome-shell shutdown crashes. Turns out the same crash can happen in Ubuntu sessions, not just the live session. CC @3v1n0
• Significant progress on hardware-accelerated Wayland support for Xilinx Kria. Though it will take more time and patches to make it all work out-of-the-box.

• Worked on guided install alongside other OSes (related PRs)

Other

• Revived an old XDG icons package
• Added support for replacing wizard pages

  • Gnome Characters

  • Simple Scan

Sent a patch to include meson in Gnome42 SDK, Another to fix some warnings during SDK building.

Azure Active Directory:

• Manual tests and polish prototype.
• Investigate for automated testing of PAM and NSS modules without altering the host.

• Merged Nathan’s changes to import existing profiles when starting the thunderbird snap for the first time
• Requested autoconnect for the thunderbird import interface and got it accepted, now the change is in the beta build
• Reviewed the new gtk translations import on launchpad
• desktop SRU verifications
• Worked on having the installer autostart on the canary image

Steam Snap

• Created a branch of the snap based on kisak-core20
• Added kisak-mesa for more updated Mesa versions in the future
• Fixed an issue with cloud saving
  • Added data migration for fix
• Updated the README with more helpful info
