• Lots of bug triage and user support in Launchpad and upstreams. Backlog stats are here.
• Jammy SRU testing.
• Proposed a triple buffering patch update in preparation for mutter 45.0.
• Proposed a direct scanout fix for scaled displays.
• Work in progress on the amdgpu bug where gnome-shell gets spontaneously killed. Proposed a workaround for mutter 45.1.
• Separated the deadline timer debug logging from the automatic adjustment proposal to fix cursor stutter in GNOME 45.
• Learning apport hooks and planning potential enhancements.
• Spent a day trying and failing to reproduce a hybrid GPU triple buffering crash. But the good news is it led me to finally figure out how to solve accelerated Nvidia secondary monitor support. Started on a proof of concept for that so hopefully it will be done before 23.10.
• Fixed a screen freeze in mutter 45. It started out looking like a multi-monitor bug but I think it was more a fullscreening bug and using multiple monitors just makes it more likely.
• Got confirmation that last week’s leak fix (now in mantic) has also solved hybrid GPU deep sleep support.

• Prepared the GNOME Shell security fix for Ubuntu 23.04 after verifying that Ubuntu 22.04 LTS was not affected.
• Updated mozjs102 for the upcoming Debian 12.2
• Prepared and announced GNOME’s 44.5 release
   
• Did ISO testing for Ubuntu 23.10 Beta which was released a few days ago
• Filed several screen reader bugs with the Ubuntu Desktop 23.10 Beta installer
• Filed several other installer bugs too
   
• Ubuntu has a limited set of packaged GNOME Shell extensions. To get GNOME Shell 45 into Ubuntu 23.10, we temporarily removed the ones not compatible with the new version. I’ve been working to get those back into Ubuntu 23.10 (except for probably gnome-shell-mailnag since it’s not maintained upstream and orphaned in Debian).
