Can’t new users post an introduction under Introductions? It doesn’t make sense to me why that would be blocked. I’m also unable to post and I’ve had my Ubuntu One id for years and used to post in the previous Ubuntu forum.
Your Ubuntu SSO (Ubuntu One ID) is a different thing to the sites you use it with; this is a different site to Ubuntu Forums. In my case; I created my SSO/Launchpad ID back in 2014-05-02 but didn’t create my account here until 2017-10-04. I had two profiles on UF (my first was abandoned as I lost access to email it used) but it was I’m sure before using this site too.
This site has existed for years now; even if the Support via this site is still only months old.
I looked and you appear to have posted an introduction, so Hi.
Yes, finally got the post working after some trial and error. Thanks.
For some reason I was required to click the start here
link you supplied to be able to get to trust level 1. The discobot greeting message claims that all I need to do is follow the 5 links it supplies there, but the Ubuntu Code of Conduct
page never registers as having been read.
15 minute read time was not enforced, as I have <1m.
Right now you have 13 minutes read time.
Got 15 minute read time, still cannot post in the help section.
Never mind, found the icon.
Welcome to Ubuntu Discourse
For new users, there is a 15 minute required reading time before being able to post a new topic.
Currently, you are at 12 minutes:
Do please read another topic or two and you should be good to go.
This place and this system is an absolute nightmare. It’s like trying to break into fort knox just to ask a question, and I’ve forgotten the question. Takes me 10 days to try to create an account and login, then I can’t even find the New Post button. How do I post a new question? Absolutely terrible. Nightmare. It’s amazing there are as many people posting here as there are. I get claustrophobic sensations rushing through my body as I strive to create an account, name taken, name capitalized, password password password… oh account already exists for that email. Then can’t find a new post button anywhere like… how am I supposed to get any support? This is absurd!
This place is a nightmare. I just wanted to ask “How do I see the CPU Speed (Not Percentage) in the System Monitor” And I can’t find anywhere to post a new question. This place needs to be reformed to actually be user friendly.
This is ridiculous and annoying. Needs to be removed. I feel claustrophobic and anxiety trying to find the post button, can’t find it. It’s stressing me out of my mind. I’ll just go ask Grok my question, or ChatGPT. This place needs to be more user friendly.

All the issues you express could be relieved with some reading on your part:
Look - moderators have exerted a tremendous amount of effort to make this site function for supporting the operating system; guides and tutorials are provided (again with great effort).

Is this one an April Fool hoax?
Complex yet subtle, describing a rare person that is amazingly incapable, yet able to write so clearly.
Another clue: The pronoun “banana” in their profile. Funny.
Whoever made the fake account and wrote this, well done. Very entertaining.
I posted this one quite a while again and in that time I have, pretty much, figured it out. Its still a bit confusing but I am working through it. Anyway, I will mark this one as solved.

Hello, I need help, I’m totally lost. I want to start a new topic as I don’t think I can find mine here already. It was hard enough finding a topic I could reply to; I have no clue how to start a new post. Thanks
