Call for testing
There’s a new build of the mir-kiosk snap based on the latest release of Mir (Mir-2.3.2) detailed here:
To test, just switch to the candidate
channel:
snap refresh --candidate mir-kiosk
And use as normal. Please let us know any results here.
If no problems are identified we aim to promote to stable
in a week.
What’s new?
The significant changes for mir-kiosk
are:
- pointer confinement is enabled by default, so applications (like games) that confine the pointer will work better. (This can be seen with mir-kiosk-neverputt - the invisible pointer no longer “hits the side of the screen” limiting actions.)
- xdg-output is enabled by default, so applications that use this can get more information about the available outputs.
