Call for Nominations: Ubuntu Communications Council

The Communications Council will be filling all seven seats this term, with terms lasting two years. To be eligible, a nominee must be an Ubuntu Member.

We are looking for Ubuntu Members that are motivated and enthusiastic who have demonstrated kindness, gentleness and acceptance of everyone and shown the ability to work as a team.

What does the Communications Council Do?

  • Oversee all communication platforms for Ubuntu asynchronous and synchronous.

Responsibilities of Council Members

  • To be active in making decisions concerning all aspects of all Ubuntu communication platforms and to attend bi-weekly video meeting with other council members to discuss ongoing and new business that has come up.

Election Timeline

  • Sunday November 23rd, 23:59 UTC: Call for nomination closes

  • Sunday November 30th: voting starts

  • Sunday December 14th, 23:59 UTC: voting ends

Once the nominations are collected, the Community Council will shortlist them and the election will take place shortly thereafter on Condorcet Internet Voting Service.
