App Center just disappeared from the laiuncher on left and cannot be found even searching. Only Ubuntu Software (with the old icon too) is there.
Was this a sudden roll back for some reason?

Could you provide the output
$ snap info snap-store
on your system?
@linus-soidinlaakso Apologies for this happening, please see my post here: Ubuntu Snap Store
it seems that the /ubuntu-24.04 branch incorrectly expired so we’re re-opening now which should put you back on the right version, however if you make the change in my post you’ll be future-proof from this happening again.
Ok thanks, so what i understood is that i’m supposed to give this command to the terminal to fix it:
snap refresh snap-store --channel=2/stable
But: what about those new and “non-technical much at all” -users? (of which many don’t even know about the terminal, and just see the App Center sudddenly gone)? Will a general update roll out for all soon to fix this?
I mean it’s like losing Google Play store from your Android phone …
The /ubuntu-24.04
branch has re-opened now so just updating the snap-store snap (either actively or waiting for a refresh) will revert users using latest/stable
on Ubuntu 24.04 LTS automatically to the new App Center now. Anyone who has installed or upgraded to Ubuntu 24.04 LTS after the .1 release will already be on 2/stable
so are not at risk of reverting on branch expiration.
So this is a yes for “automatic” fix within next updates (?) sorry for being blunt but very technical tongue fits my brain nor understanding not well either.
