Which Folders Should Be Included for Proper Backing Up of an LXD Host?

Excluding the containers and VMs’ rootfs folders, which of these folders need to be backed up to properly restore an LXD host?

/var/snap/*
/snap/*
any others?

Some of these might be put together by LXD at runtime and not only are not needed, but should not be backed up.

Short answer, when you are backing up the CTs and VMs separately:
backup only /var/snap/lxd/common/lxd/, not /var/snap/lxd/* or /snap/lxd
Check?

Well, you can always back up more, but backing up /var/snap/lxd/common/lxd is sufficient. :slight_smile:
