I a newbie to ubuntu and my first experience is with Ubuntu 25.04. Saw that there was a place to report bugs but cannot find it in any of the categories. Where do I report a problem that maybe a bug in this flavor.
You can find a good guide here about reporting bugs:
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/ReportingBugs
Bugs are not reported here on Discourse.
As a newbie. you may find that beginning with LTS (long term support) systems such as 24.04 or 22.04 is a better place to begin as most bugs have been ironed out.
Can I “downgrade” to 24.04 without loosing shared folders, apps and data?
Make a backup of your requirements to an external source (usb etc,) and do a fresh install of 24.04.
If you describe here whatever problem you encountered, we can probably advise you about whether it’s a bug or not. And how to report it (if it’s a bug) usefully so your effort sees results.
Some “feedback” and “problems” turn out to be not bugs at all.
This is an opinion. As advice to a new user, I think it is somewhat misleading.
All releases of Ubuntu have their “bugs ironed out.” All fixed 24.04 bugs are also fixed in 25.04.
My experience is that BOTH are stable and reliable.
BOTH are fully supported here.
The differences between an LTS release and a 6-month release are clearly explained on the download page, and --assuming read the first time-- there is no need to second-guess your original choice.
BOTH are fully supported here.

Your reply is a more reasoned response than mine, which was based on my being a relatively newbie (7 years). I appreciate your greater experience.
