When the gnome-shell 3.36.0 package will be available?

When the gnome-shell 3.36.0 package will be available on Ubuntu 20.04 ? Is it already available in focal-proposed ? (i can’t view proposed repos from https://packages.ubuntu.com/)

I guess that it is still blocked on some extension work. When the extensions are made compatible it will hit the release pocket, together with a new mutter and gjs. The problem is: this is all interwined and it will hit the main repo when EVERY piece is updated and ready to go.

Until then you can always play around with gnome-shell 3.35.91 which is not too different. Using the proposed pocket is highly dangerous, don’t do it at this point.

Mutter and GNOME Shell are uploaded to Debian now. Trevinho has to adapt the Ubuntu Xandr Scaling patch for the X session first, then things can be synchronized from Debian.

@3v1n0 seems to have finished the update. Maybe it will hit Proposed today.

I wonder when the ICU transition to Unicode 13 will migrate from Proposed. That blocks quite a lot of other packages from migrating to the release pocket: LibreOffice, Tracker, Postfix and many more. I don’t know what is blocking it. Maybe a missing security review?
