Virt-manager, QEmu and KVM won't boot Windows 10 anymore

I’ve been trying to get Windows 10 to boot on virt-manager with OVMF, it used to work in the past with Ubuntu 22.04, but I upgraded to Ubuntu 24.04.1 back in September and haven’t used virt-manager until now, and that’s when I noticed it was bootlooping over and over and over again, instead of booting into Windows 10 like it normally does…

I have not even changed any settings in virt-manager, not even anything, and yet won’t boot into Windows 10 anymore.

I always boot the Windows OS via virt-manager through a physical disk, via /dev/sdb, this has never been an issue, until now.

I have searched everywhere on the web for answers. I have seen 0 people in the world having the exact same issue I’m having.

And just to clarify, every other virtual machine works, just not Windows 10, and I don’t know why.

Don’t understand what I’m talking about? Here’s proof:

If you need to see my virt-manager config, here it is:

Start VM > Immediately press Esc (to access OVMF/UEFI settings) > Boot Manager

Is Windows Boot Manager the priority in the VM UEFI settings?

Windows Boot Manager wasn’t even in any of the boot options. It was pointing to bootx64.efi, which is normally the first option a UEFI opens. However, it does not boot Windows Boot Manager, the only one that truly does, is located in /EFI/Microsoft/Boot/bootmgfw.efi, not in /EFI/Boot/bootx64.efi.

Now because I selected the correct one, it now boots without issues.
