USB audio interface disappears when waking from sleep

I have a Scarlett Solo USB audio interface. If I put my desktop to sleep and wake it back up, the audio device completely disappears (and I have no sound or audio in).

The device reappears if I physically unplug/replug it.

Ubuntu Version:
Kubuntu 25.10 (Questing Quokka) x86_64 (problem has existed since 22.04)

Desktop Environment (if applicable):
KDE Plasma

Problem Description:

  1. Put computer to sleep (Start menu → Sleep)
  2. Wake computer back up
  3. Audio interface is not detected (see pic)

Relevant System Information:
Before sleep, lsusb shows the following entry for the audio interface:

Bus 003 Device 005: ID 1235:8205 Focusrite-Novation Scarlett Solo USB

After sleep, the entry disappears completely.

Screenshots or Error Messages:
No errors produced, but this is what shows in the audio devices area if that helps:

What I’ve Tried:
usbreset, but since the device disappears completely there is no device to reset.

Probably, this is a quirk of my motherboard that can’t be fixed easily at the Ubuntu level, but hoping there is a terminal command I can run instead of physically replugging the USB to force rescanning for the device—then I can put this as a systemd unit that runs on wake from sleep.
