Updated openconnect packages suggestion

Not sure if this is the right place for this suggestion but it would be very useful if the openconnect vpn packages are updated in versions higher than 8.0 since it includes global protect support for Palo Alto networks. Palo Alto adds an additional charge of 21000 (euros) per year for the license of the global protect app under Linux. Openconnect support saved my department from this additional cost but any user that wants to use it needs to build it from source. Not terrible as a prospect but an updated version on the official repositories would make a lot of things more streamlined for less experienced users.

Your wish is granted:

Perhaps you are using 18.04 or older. Newer versions of Ubuntu, as you can see, have newer versions.

Alternately, if you are asking for newer versions of software to be backported to older releases of Ubuntu, see https://askubuntu.com/questions/151283/why-dont-the-ubuntu-repositories-have-the-latest-versions-of-software

Indeed we are using 18.04. We tend to stick with LTSs most of the time. But this will not be an issue when 20.04 hits.
