For the 3rd time since 2024 (Ubuntu 24.04), Ubuntu has had horrible performance when talking about Nvidia. As seen here https://gravitymark.tellusim.com/leaderboard/?mode=one
Ubuntu shows on the 1st place when comparing the RTX 5090 performance and on the 1st place when comparing the 4090 performance (or 3rd place when comparing them all).
What is wrong with Ubuntu and their dedicated team?
THIS MESSAGE IS A JOKE JUST IN CASE. Ubuntu outranked Windows for both Nvidia cards. Click on the link to see more.
Moved to Kernel as the Kernel team handles the Nvidia drivers.
The results look like good news to me. But I feel your question can be interpreted at least two different ways, positively or negatively. Can you reword it?

Hey guys it was a joke. Ubuntu outranked windows scores by a lot on both cases and today I finally saw a windows test using the 5090 so out of curiosity I tested Ubuntu 25.04 (with the 570 driver that is really bugged but that is something with nvidia not Ubuntu), and wham… Ubuntu ended up first place again.
If you click on the link provided for gravitymark you will see the score positions. Net time I won’t do a joke. Was just happy and a but amazed that it would outrank windows again.
Cool… Are the 25.04/24.10 results from the default Wayland session or was it switched to Xorg?
Ohhh, that is a great question. I used X11 on both cases, but I think I can test Wayland now. great idea. The RTX 5090 is on 25.04 so I will test it tomorrow. Thank you.
If there is any significant difference between Xorg and Wayland results, that’s a bug. Because benchmarks rendering thousands of frames per second don’t actually display most of them.
So both should have the same score basically.
