Our Community
Ubuntu-ve is a group of individuals who have organized themselves as a community with the goal of providing mutual support in the everyday use of Ubuntu. Within this community, there is a great diversity of backgrounds; some are computer experts, but most are everyday users who use Ubuntu at home or in their daily work. We form what is known as a ‘User Community.’ The primary function of this community is to bring together users of Ubuntu and its derivatives to collectively promote the adoption of free systems.
While there is a formal organizational structure for Ubuntu, the dynamics of the community do not always follow a predetermined structure; instead, it organizes itself based on the current needs, generally without a centralized command. This allows community members to freely participate, express themselves, and encourages diversity.
Ubuntu-ve is inclusive and recognizes that we all have different skills, not necessarily related to computing but equally valuable. Many community members hold meetings and small events, seek to educate users in schools and universities because they believe in the freedom of knowledge and open-source software. We encourage you to get involved in our community. Install and use Ubuntu, seek help through the mailing list, join us for meetings, and share your opinions.

The Community Council is composed of the Local Contact, the Local Sub-Contact, and the Regional Contacts. The founders of the community can also participate in the Council.

Nuestra comunidad
Ubuntu-ve es un grupo de personas que se han organizado como una comunidad con el objetivo de brindar apoyo mutuo en el uso diario de Ubuntu. Dentro de esta comunidad hay una gran diversidad de orígenes; algunos son expertos en informática, pero la mayoría son usuarios cotidianos que utilizan Ubuntu en casa o en su trabajo diario. Formamos lo que se conoce como una ‘Comunidad de Usuarios’. La función principal de esta comunidad es reunir a los usuarios de Ubuntu y sus derivados para promover colectivamente la adopción de sistemas libres.
Si bien existe una estructura organizacional formal para Ubuntu, la dinámica de la comunidad no siempre sigue una estructura predeterminada; en cambio, se organiza en función de las necesidades actuales, generalmente sin un mando centralizado. Esto permite a los miembros de la comunidad participar, expresarse libremente y fomenta la diversidad.
Ubuntu-ve es inclusivo y reconoce que todos tenemos habilidades diferentes, no necesariamente relacionadas con la informática, pero igualmente valiosas. Muchos miembros de la comunidad celebran reuniones y pequeños eventos, buscan educar a los usuarios en escuelas y universidades porque creen en la libertad del conocimiento y el software de código abierto.
