Ubuntu on audio and video

Hi. I’m new at Ubuntu Discourse but I use Ubuntu for a couple of years. Unfortunately I have to use more the Mac because of my work but I really enjoy using Ubuntu. Lately I’ve installed it in a machine that I have Windows 10 on it, so I created a dual-boot with Ubuntu 20.04 and I’ve been trying to use it more often and I realized that the audio is lower on Ubuntu. And when I play videos I have glitchy screen. Unfortunately I couldn’t take screenshots of the videos because when I do it it doesn’t capture the glitches.

About the audio I’ve installed a software called PulseEffects but it didn’t worked. So I followed the instructions I’ve found in this page. I’ve done this because the computer I have dual-boot is a Lenovo Ideapad s145 with Dolby Audio support so I thought those instructions would give me the ability to “unlock” the Dolby Audio feature. But it didn’t worked either.

This is the output of lspci command:

00:00.0 Host bridge: Intel Corporation Xeon E3-1200 v6/7th Gen Core Processor Host Bridge/DRAM Registers (rev 08)

Is this is a real issue or it only affects me? Do I have a poor hardware?

Thanks for the attention!

If you have a “glitchy screen” then please open a bug about that on Launchpad by running this command:

ubuntu-bug gnome-shell

Ok! Thank you! I’m sorry about that. I’m going to open a bug report on Launchpad.
