Ubuntu @ GUADEC 2023: Call for Volunteers

The Community Team is inviting volunteers to participate in GUADEC 2023, which will take place in Riga, Latvia, from July 26th to 31st, 2023.

GUADEC is the GNOME community’s yearly event. It brings together hundreds of GNOME developers, users, supporters and community members, for a great week of talks and workshops. You can find more information about Ubuntu @ GUADEC 2023 on our Blog post . The conference is split into two parts. Ubuntu/Canonical will have a table at the main conference days, July 26-28, 2023. The event moves to a different venue on 29th to 31st July, and we won’t have a table to staff there.

Volunteer opportunities include spreading the word, helping at the conference table, and speaking at the event about Ubuntu. CFP is closed, but the hallway track is a good place to interact with fellow Linux and FOSS enthusiasts.

One remark, the CfP is not totally closed. The first one, asking for talks, lightning talks, BoFs, and workshops is indeed closed, and the accepted sessions are already scheduled. But some days ago another CfP only asking for BoFs and workshops was opened. Seems that they got another room for the weekend. I do not know what exactly has happened. If you want to contribute another BoF or workshop, you have until Jun12 to propose it …
