Ubuntu BluFire Rolling Release Packages

New Ubuntu BluFire Packages are being released at http://blufire.xyz:808/. The GitLab link is now deprecated.

I’m very sorry, but current ISO looks like a toy project.
Installed the system from this ISO and got system with broken repositories:

$ cat /etc/apt/sources.list | grep -v ^# | sort -u

deb http://security.ubuntu.com/ubuntu one-security main restricted
deb http://security.ubuntu.com/ubuntu one-security multiverse
deb http://security.ubuntu.com/ubuntu one-security universe
deb http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ one main restricted
deb http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ one multiverse
deb http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ one universe
deb http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ one-backports main restricted universe multiverse
deb http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ one-updates main restricted
deb http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ one-updates multiverse
deb http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ one-updates universe

There is no one codename on official Ubuntu mirrors.

The sudo debsums --all --changed reports changes in the following files:

$ sudo debsums --all --changed
/usr/lib/os-release
/etc/issue.net
/etc/lsb-release
/etc/issue
/usr/share/python-apt/templates/Ubuntu.info

So such a system is a simple repack and currently useless. User will be unable to install any packages. There is no actual difference from ordinary Ubuntu.
I would recommend you to stop posting. Instead concentrate and post only if minimal value product was obtained.
What is your general idea? What are your milestones?

I’ll fix it. There might have been a few issues.

@rs2009 please stop reporting negative feedback as inappropriate. We’re not going to remove feedback which you should expect to receive when announcing and releasing a project.

Can’t unflag now! Sorry :slight_smile:

I am switching to a Debian base since the Ubuntu base doesn’t seem to allow somethings. I’m unable to set some things. I’m facing many issues with Focal Fossa and don’t have time to report bugs.

It very much appears so, if you read up on the myriad of threads leading up to this.

When I was in school, I used to write “OS imitations” in QBasic that served little purpose beyond self-education and were atrocious in quality, so I can empathize with the playing developer part.
