UbuCon Korea 2024 which was held 2024-08-10T01:00:00Z has wrapped up with a lot of participants like the last year.
With the theme “Deploy with Ubuntu”, the program for event this year consisted with 9 talks, 3 workshops, 3 lightning talks and 3 BoFs resulting in total 18 sessions with key signing party additionally. A total of 173 individuals registered to attend the programme, with 151 attendees present at the venue.
Our program started with a panel discussion on Ubuntu and Ubuntu membership, followed by a series of featured talks below:
- “Build container application without Dockerfile(feat. .NET Aspire)” by Justin Yoo
- “Frontend engineer meets Linux: Configure Electron.js based software on Ubuntu environment” by Sam H. Kim
- “Case Study: Robot Software Distribution” by Jihyeon Kwon and Sung Hoon Kim
Furthermore, we’ve provided lunch boxes and swags, including T-shirts and stickers, in line with last year’s offering. However, we have made a few key changes. These include the ‘Ubu4Cut photo booth’ for commemorative photo opportunities, an adjusted lunch break and additional space for a smooth supper.
These changes were made possible with the cooperation of our venue sponsor, Microsoft Korea, and with the help of 15 organizers and 10 volunteers, an increase from last year. We would like to thank the organizers and volunteers for their contributions to the event’s management and preparation.
