We’re thrilled to announce the call for proposals for UbuCon Korea 2024! UbuCon(s) are community-organized conferences for the Ubuntu community, bringing together contributors, enthusiasts, and users from all over the world. UbuCon Korea, in particular, is the biggest regional event of Ubuntu Korea Community and focuses on the specific interests and needs of the Korean Ubuntu community.
Tracks and Topics
Based on this year’s theme “Deploy with Ubuntu”, we’re seeking a diverse range of session proposals across the following tracks:
- Software Packaging: From basic Debian / Snap software packaging to automatic builds, multi-architecture support, port and repackage applications from other operating systems.
- Robotics and IoT: Develop, ship, and update your robotics or IoT(Internet of Things) software using ROS, Ubuntu Core, and Snap.
- Data and AI: Research artificial intelligence and data science with open-source SDKs/APIs supported by Ubuntu ecosystem.
- Cloud and Infrastructure: Deploy and manage infrastructure with Ubuntu using MAAS, Juju, K8s, OpenStack, or other solutions.
- Security and Compliance: Apply security policies, pre-installed environments, and patches for your organization with Ubuntu.

You may submit your proposal from now on. The deadline for submission is May 12th. Depending on the number of submissions we received, this could be extended or closed in advance. For your information, UbuCon Korea 2024 will be held on August 10th, at Microsoft Korea.
