Hi,

I’m Toad from Mario Kart ! Just kidding. I’m from Europe.

I’ve been using Ubuntu since 2010 but honestly I’m still a “noob” as I have a very minimalist use of computers (e-mails, internet…) and then probably will remain a noob as I don’t plan to do more :smiley: Shame on me…

I’ve always installed it myself on different computers but I never delved into the dash that much and I consider I have a very limited knowledge.

Also, I want to say this, I’ve always preferred the first versions I’ve installed with a “windows like menu”, I’ve never really liked the transition with the menu where you are lost if you don’t know the exact keywords to find what you’re looking for.

I’ve installed 24.04 last year on a new computer and was surprised to see we don’t need to create partitions anymore !

I joined this forum mainly for technical questions.
