The Rocks Community is off the ground 🚀

We are taking the first steps towards the world’s best portfolio and community for production-grade container images!

This new community sits under the Ubuntu Community.

The community will grow, the processes and governance might change, but its purpose will always be the same:

to serve as your hub for exploring Ubuntu Rocks and everything “containers”. Whether you’re a seasoned Rockcraft user or Chisel enthusiast, this community is an inclusive space for learning, sharing, and connecting with fellow Ubuntu container developers.

If you are reading this topic, then you’re probably already familiar with the Rocks category on Discourse, which is great. On top of that, we now have some new channels and resources that might come in handy to you:

  • whether you’re looking for technical support, or just want to chit-chat with your peers, you can now join the Rocks space on Matrix;
  • we want to motivate members to be active and experiment with rocks. For that, we’ve created a GitHub organisation that we are calling the Rocks Community Playground;

We’ll also be resuming our regular monthly meetings, on top of the already existing public office hours. Please have a look at Rocks Community | Ubuntu for all the details.
