I’ve just noticed Text Editor highlights cursor line, but in dark mode the highlight is using a clear color which turns the line barely readable.
probably not the intended behavior.

This isn’t really the place to report bugs but since I saw your post I thought I would direct you towards bug #1857191 on Launchpad. That reports seems to reflect the problem that you have come across.
