Surufy as a snap?

Continuing the discussion from Surufy icon script status:

If the script was released with Yaru in a snap, it wouldn’t be able to read any folder outside the ones permitted by the container and, more important, could not be installed in the specific APT folder for hooks. This means it must be released as .deb package, that is, separated from Yaru, since Yaru is released also as snap.

Before resorting to Deb could you first perhaps ask on the snapcraft forum if there’d be any possibility of new interfaces being created and then autoconnected for Yaru which would give the script the necessary permissions?

This info came already from the snapcraft team.
The main issue is for the script location, since APT wants the hooks to stay in /etc/apt/apt.conf.d/
