I’ve recently been reading posts but occasionally feel a bit puzzled over the authenticity of the member - are they a user (like me) or a Canonical employee?
I’d like to suggest adding titles to Canonical staff to describe their primary department or role, for example:
- Ubuntu Desktop Team
- Ubuntu Engineer
- Developer Advocate
Since Groups are used, Discourse could automatically apply the titles to everyone who joined the group (if it’s set as their primary group). Otherwise, it’s possible to set titles (or override them) individually in the admin’s settings of that member.
In the meantime, the only way to verify credibility is to visit a profile and see if they’re a member of any groups, like desktop-team.
