Problem Description :
Just recently switched from Win10 to Ubuntu on my Lenovo T550. Now my audio from the built-in speakers sounds flat and from far away.

What I’ve Tried :
I am completely new to Ubuntu and Linux.
Been on Intels webpage to unsuccessfully download driver for this OS.
Go to the Ubuntu site at the link below which discusses sound problems and offers suggestions.

Could you post a link to the Intel site with the driver name you downloaded to try to install?
Doing a brief online search for your card with Linux turns up a lot of sites indicating problems.

Alright, I have done another search but cant seem to find any topics relevant to my specific conditions and OS-version. I find multiple threads where the sound is gone altogether or where the OS is a different release.
