Snap, chromium, chromium-driver and docker

Even though I use snaps daily and I’m happy with them, there’s a very unfortunate side effect to snap-ifying chromium. Right now it’s impossible to build docker images that contain chromium-driver on jammy or newer (for instance for use on CI systems) as that in turn pulls in chromium and snaps. And you can’t run snaps inside of docker.

Edit: as per the weird reply below, I’m not asking for help, just detailing a bad side effect of snapifying the browsers. It makes it impossible to use ubuntu as a container base for running stuff like selenium. I originally posted this on the server Discourse, not sure why it was also moved to “Help”

Snaps are not exclusive to Ubuntu, so where you need to go is to ask for help from https://forum.snapcraft.io. Closing.
