Selecting a row turns its background to the selected blue colour (currently #EBFAFF) . This behaviour should be reserved for selections you can act on - e.g. deleting the row, performing an action on the node this row refers to (like Deploying a machine in maas):
In case the selected row is also an expanding row, I would suggest introducing a nested “card” (just rounded corners, no box shadows or borders). This is to avoid unintended consequences like elements with a different background gaining contrast against the blue. Additional options explored in zeplin:
