Hey everyone! I’ve been thinking about this idea and I’d love to hear your thoughts on it.
What if we could reuse old hardware by creating a kind of super-inefficient cluster? This could give old devices a second chance and help reduce technological waste.
I’ve been doing some research, and while using smartphones might not be feasible due to proprietary firmware, I could be mistaken. I’m guessing old pc/laptops should be the way to go?
So, what do you think about this concept? Is it worth exploring? Would companies be interested in paying for slightly slower services, perhaps for testing purposes, to contribute to environmental sustainability?
