Request to turn on comments in old Ubuntu OnAir videos

I request the people who handle the Ubuntu OnAir YouTube channel to turn on comments in all the old videos like this one: https://youtu.be/y1Yvte7EZD0.

This will be helpful: https://support.google.com/youtube/answer/9482556?hl=en (Change comment settings on a video section)

Why should this feature be enabled?

Hello! While we’ve turned on comments for new videos, at this time we won’t be turning on comments for past videos. Comment moderation can take a lot of time, and right now the community team is down to one person. This could change in the future, once the team is fully staffed, or we had volunteer moderators to review comments, but right now it would spread our resources too thin.

In Ubuntu OnAir YouTube channel’s about page, this is mentioned:

If you would like to join the conversation or even join a stream, get in touch or comment on one of our videos and let us know. This channel is for the community, and hopefully, that means you

Please notice this: “comment on one of our videos”.

I hope you can understand now why the feature must be enabled.

…or perhaps a mere tweak to the about page to accurately reflect current feedback venues.

Well, the comments are now on in the recent videos. So, I don’t think the about page needs to be changed now. @ian-weisser

I will change the page to note that videos after a certain date have comments enabled for now, to help clarify things. But our community team is extremely small and spread very thin, and moderating comments is almost a full time job in itself. Hence why we are enabling comments for the most current videos. I hope this helps you understand our decision.
