What are Regional Contacts?
We’ve designated Regional Contacts as those Ubuntu users committed to actively participating in free software events and who collaborate with the Ubuntu project in various ways. These commitments may include package translation, documentation and news creation, assistance in recognized forums, among other contributions that strengthen the project as a whole in our country.

What’s the point of having regional contacts?
Having Ubuntu-ve presence in each city facilitates community members to connect with other Ubuntu users nearby. This enables them to collaborate to attend events, set up informational booths, or give talks at educational institutions such as universities, high schools, primary schools, among other relevant spaces.
