Old Lubuntu Discourse wiped?

Hello Lubuntu project members,

I am aware that system management in general is not the major interest of Lubuntu project members. The move from the original Lubuntu maintained Discourse to the Ubuntu hosted Discourse seems logical, in a way.

However, I am very disappointed to find out that, after just a few months (or even less) after sunsetting the Original Discourse, its access has been disabled. Yes, already!!!

Over the years I’ve been adding to, enhancing, and sometimes - maybe annoyingly - living up the original Lubuntu Discourse.

Until recently I used to use the original Discourse - often - to reread some of my previous remarks. Many of them with a serious technical background and information.

Is it gone? Really??

Fritz.

It is1 hoped that the data from Lubuntu’s discourse can be imported here (under Flavours/Lubuntu) into this discourse. Some testing was being done to ensure there are no issues with this, but it is still my belief this plan is still being followed. We have no timeline on when this will occur sorry.

1 “is” Sorry, my knowledge maybe a little outdated here, as I’ve missed a few meetings where it may have been discussed.

Appreciated. Very much appreciated.

Yep it’s a bummer and a wealth of useful information will be lost if not already lost if no transfer occurs.

Sigh
