NTFS3 vs NTFS3g-fuse

With the release of 5.15 this may be an interesting topic.

I gave the new NTFS3 kernel driver a try on my laptop. While it works it, I have a strange issue with folder permissions. Some are writeable as user while others aren’t (I provided a folder permission mask so I don’t know why they are different yet).

The directory junctions are not automatically resolved like they are in NTFS3g-fuse. i.e. A documents folder symlinks to C:\Users… instead of /media/OS (the natively correct path).

Nautilus doesn’t mount it out of the box (it uses NTFS3g options which are not valid in NTFS3)

So just some warnings before people rush to make this the default.
