New ubuntu-unity iso

gdebi-gtk

works just fine for me on live session iso.

About online panel. Do following.

edit the desktop file,

gksudo gedit /usr/share/applications/unity-online-accounts-panel.desktop

Delete all and and then paste following:

[Desktop Entry]
Exec=unity-control-center online-accounts
Icon=unity-online-accounts
Terminal=false
Type=Application
NoDisplay=false
StartupNotify=true
Categories=GNOME;GTK;Settings;DesktopSettings;X-Unity-Settings-Panel;X-GNOME-PersonalSettings;OnlineAccounts;
OnlyShowIn=Unity;
X-Unity-Settings-Panel=online-accounts
# Translators: those are keywords for the online-accounts control-center panel
Keywords=Google;Facebook;Twitter;Yahoo;Web;Online;Chat;Calendar;Mail;Contact;ownCloud;Kerberos;IMAP;SMTP;Pocket;ReadItLater;
Name=Online Accounts
Comment=Connect your online accounts
X-Ubuntu-Gettext-Domain=unity-control-center

Then restarts. And open online-accounts. For me it’s working except I can’t scroll.

When you clicked install button on gdebi-gtk what happens?
Does it ask for user password? a) when on live iso, b) log-in as regular user.

I am using latest version of gdebi on bionic.

I did that already couple days ago. Nothing. One install just has “Online Accounts” in the u-c-c. When you click it it does nothing and the u-c-c will not close.

Did you install the deb (don’t use the ppa, but the debs of the link)? What is the content of /usr/share/applications/unity-online-accounts-panel.desktop? You need to add X-Unity-Settings-Panel=online-accounts otherwise it won’t work.

You don’t need to write with images. Just text is enough. :joy:

A picture speaks a thousands of words :rofl:

Ok… it works now. No side scrollbar.

Good work Khurshid.

Have RSI back spasms atm. Maybe I’ll beg the community for a new chair . jk :blush:

Your back is still troubling? Relax. Take a break. Get well soon.

I am fixing the scrollbar issue.

Thanks. ! We are very much on schedule. You are doing an exceptional work at tending to details.

I fix the scrollbar issue. Download from here https://code.launchpad.net/~khurshid-alam/+archive/ubuntu/experimental-build/+build/14313441

You only need to install libunity-control-center-1 and unity-control-center

@jbicha

I imported gnome online-accounts panel into u-c-c. Can this be merged in this cycle? Who is going to review merge request?

As Unity 7 is not a derivative, does the feature freeze matter?

We are doing builds off of bionic-beaver-amd64.iso so anything but unity meta will freeze.

Yes. After feature freeze you can’t merge anything for unity even if it’s on the universe.
