works just fine for me on live session iso.
About online panel. Do following.
edit the desktop file,
gksudo gedit /usr/share/applications/unity-online-accounts-panel.desktop
Delete all and and then paste following:

Type=Application

Then restarts. And open online-accounts. For me itâs working except I canât scroll.
When you clicked install button on gdebi-gtk what happens?
Does it ask for user password? a) when on live iso, b) log-in as regular user.
I am using latest version of gdebi on bionic.
I did that already couple days ago. Nothing. One install just has âOnline Accountsâ in the u-c-c. When you click it it does nothing and the u-c-c will not close.
Did you install the deb (donât use the ppa, but the debs of the link)? What is the content of /usr/share/applications/unity-online-accounts-panel.desktop? You need to add X-Unity-Settings-Panel=online-accounts otherwise it wonât work.
You donât need to write with images. Just text is enough.

You only need to install libunity-control-center-1 and unity-control-center

We are doing builds off of bionic-beaver-amd64.iso so anything but unity meta will freeze.
Yes. After feature freeze you canât merge anything for unity even if itâs on the universe.
