Notice: Deprecation of certain images on images: remote

Based on our usage metrics, we will be deprecating certain images that are no longer actively used. These images will soon become unavailable on the images: remote. The full list of affected images is as follows:

• ALT p10 (all architectures)
• openEuler 22.03 (all architectures)
• openEuler 24.03 (arm64 only)
• Oracle 8 (arm64 only)
• Devuano (arm64 only)
• Gentoo (arm64 only)
• Funtoo (arm64 only)

Yes there is an issue we are working on now to resolve. Apologies for this.

LXD image server temporarily unavailable (images.lxd.canonical.com)

The LXD image server for the images: remote (images.lxd.canonical.com) is temporarily unavailable due to hardware failure. We are working with the Canonical IS team to get this resolved. The official Ubuntu images from ubuntu*: remotes remain available however. Apologies for the inconvenience.

My colleagues and I are wondering why the debian images don’t use the standard /etc/network/interfaces but systemd instead for their network config. Why was this changed from the standard debian iso/install ?
