Problem Description :
Looking for a music player that supports importing existing M3U playlists created on a Windows 11 system.
Relevant System Information :
HP Laptop 17-cp0035cl, 12GB memory, 1TB disk. Replaced Windows 11 with a clean install of Ubuntu 24.04.

What I’ve Tried :
I’ve tried Rhythmbox, Clementine, Strawberry & a few others with no success.
Could you please outline the steps you took in these apps, and what you mean by “import”?
I have no problems loading m3u playlists in Strawberry, but I have to load them individually, there is no batch import function yet.
You could try a cross-platform application e.g. VLC
Undoubtedly, the file paths will need attention?
Does a Windows M3U format use backslash?
Again, an edit may be required?

It’s been a long time but I recall reading somewhere they can be imported with Strawberry in M3U8 format.I’ve had no luck finding that article as it was so long ago.
I’ve been able to import my playlists into Rhythmbox by opening them in groups of 5-6 at-a-time. Thanks to all who responded!
