My top bar is in the bottom of my screen

My top bar is in the bottom of my screen. I have gone to my settings and set it to bottom and that did nothing to move it up. How can I set it so that my top bar is on the top of my system?

Thank you…

a description of the version would be helpful.
kubuntu?
lunbuntu?
ubuntu?
mate?
arch?
debain?
otherwise we are left to guess, which means most won’t reply

Apologies: ubuntu 24.04

Wish there was a way to just stick it on any and all things I post.

What setting did you use? in Ubuntu GNOME I don’t know settings to move the top-bar. Or are you talking about the dock?

If the OP is referring to the launch bar (dock in later versions) as the top bar see this video which should be for the OP’s version

For 25.04 it’s under settings / Ubuntu Desktop / dock /Position on screen

did you try to set it to top ? versus bottom. As the bottom setting is for the bottom of your screen.

I have now, I think, fixed everything. Most of that was done with my extensions’
Want to thank everybody - you kept me working.

Your picture shows me and old guy. Curious, how old are you? (I am a bit of an elder myself)

My beard is white but I’m young, I’m only 85 years old

The joys of youth

Ah, I’m ninety and a bit demented as well. I spent years programming but, these days, I am simply not up to what I used to be able to do. It is, basically, a pain in the ass!

Thanks for the reply!

That would be Genzzzzzzzzzzzz

I think I have replied, if not, I am 90 years old, a bit demented, and this stuff is a lot harder than it used to be.

I should add that I fixed my problem with my top and bottom bar. My problems, pretty much is settled. I got rid of thunderbird and chose a different rout that seems, so far, to be working well.
