I’ve an ASUS laptop after upgrading to Ubuntu 20.10 I found that the touchpad and my keyboard don’t work, after more investigations I figured out that the cause behind this is the Kernel, when downgrading to the old Ubuntu kernel 5.4 to updating to a new one 5.8.16, the issue was fixed, I also found out that this issue is found in many ASUS laptops, you may want to investigate this issue and update your default linux kernel.

the update to Kernel 5.8.0.26 didn’t fix the issue, please help.
This looks like a technical support request.

@ogra
well an issue is already filed on stackoverflow with no responds till now, it’s really unfortunate.
You should really report this bug on Launchpad, against the linux
package, so that the right people can look into it.

Normally we would ask you to log a bug by running:
ubuntu-bug linux
on the affected machine. But if your mouse and keyboard don’t work then you can use this link from a different machine.
