Hello everyone. I have a question regarding upgrading to 25.10 from 25.04. I rely on initramfs/hooks/curl setup in order to open luks encrypted disks during inital boot (/home is also encrypted) over https provided simple key.
I read that ubuntu 25.10 moves to dracut. Does it mean I must do some work before I upgrade or it will somehow magically keep my setup in place?
AFAIK only fresh installs will get dracut by default, upgrades will explicitly have to be switched, so as long as you do not explicitly switch yourself it should keep using the initramfs-tools scripts…

A follow up question (I’m a total noob in this area). Is it maybe possible that I don’t even need to worry, because curl is included in dracut already?
