I’ve been researching full-disk encryption for a fleet of devices, but can’t find a straight answer about setting password policies for LUKS encryption.
The man pages for cryptsetup suggest that LUKS passphrases support password quality checking.
Does Ubuntu build cryptsetup with password quality checking support?
I have tested creating a policy under /etc/security/pwquality.conf.d/ but it doesn’t seem to work. So I assume support is not enabled.
