This is something that was an issue since 14.04. There is no indicator for limited or no connectivity. I mean, the local home network is fine but there is no internet. I just noticed that even 17.10 has no notification for limited or no connectivity
It would have been great to have network status in settings under network or wifi with emphasis on the availability of internet.
